Menu Plan Monday: November 3, 2008

Not a lot of experimenting in our house this week…we need some good food to buffer last week’s trial and (mostly) error!  As always, everything is dairy-free or dairy-optional, and we’re still avoiding soy for a variety of reasons, which makes many of these recipes great for vegetarians.  So let me know if you have any questions or suggestions on anything!

Monday: My Spaghetti with Italian Bread

Tuesday:  Eat out after voting — I can’t go until close to 5pm, so it will be a crazy night!

Wednesday: Pork Roast with Potatoes, Turnips, and Apples

Thursday: Buckwheat pancakes, sausage, fruit

Friday: Falafel Burgers

Saturday: Homemade pizzas

Sunday: Pumpkin Chili with Cornbread

  1. Looks good! In your cornbread what do you use instead of milk?
I’ll have to try the Italian Bread recipe! I have never made bread before though!

  2. We used to just use soymilk, but now we use rice or almond milk. The texture isn’t as quite the same as using regular milk, but it seems to do okay when making breads. I tried using soy milk with a package of pudding mix one time, though, and that was a huge failure — we had banana-flavored soy milk instead of a creamy pudding!

  3. The recipe for Falafel Burgers sound delicious! It will be showing up on my menu plan in the near future! TFS 🙂
